Night visual rating

The purpose of the course consists of the training of pilots up to a level of competence to allow Pilots to fly at night under visual flight conditions (good weather and clear of cloud) giving them greater flexibility when flying as they are no longer restricted to daylight hours.

The Night Visual Flight Rules Rating (NVFR) allows Pilots to command an aircraft at night.  It is a recommended stepping stone to a Commercial Pilots Licence.

It comprises a mixture of both instrument and visual flying and will provide a solid grounding towards the most challenging rating, the Instrument Rating.

The Night VFR can also be undertaken in a multi-engine aircraft. The syllabus of training would be the same as single-engine as long as the pilot hold a multi-engine endorsement prior to the commencement of the NVFR. The cost would be slightly higher due to the increased cost of multi-engine aircraft.
