CPL – aeroplane modular commercial pilot course

The holder of an Aeroplane Commercial Pilot’s Licence will have all the privileges of the holder of an Aeroplane Private Pilot’s Licence and will also be able to:

Act as Pilot in Command of any aeroplane engaged in flights other than commercial transportation.

Act as Pilot in Command of any single pilot certified aeroplane engaged in commercial flights and commercial air transportation services.

Act as co-pilot of aeroplanes engaged in commercial air transportation services.

Such attributions may be exerted under the flight conditions for which a rating is held (Instrument Flight, Multi-engine, Night-flying, etc.).

 

Requirements:

-  Minimum age: 18 years

-  Class 1 Medical Certificate

-  Academic Requirements: Completion of Secondary School education or equivalent (School access exam) 

-  Hold a Valid unrestricted Aeroplane Private Pilot’s License

-  Previous experience of 150 hours flight time, as Student Pilot or Pilot in Command     

-  Skill check ride to asses level

 

Ground School:

Subjects:

* Air Law * Performance and Flight Planning * Aircraft General Knowledge * Human Factors and Limitations * Meteorology * Navigation * Operational Procedures * Principles of Flight * Communications.

 
Having Frozen ATPL (Theory exam passed) credits the achievement of the knowledge level.

 

Flight Training:

Applicants without an IR shall be given at least 25 hours dual flight instruction, including 10 hours of instrument instruction of which up to 5 hours may be instrument ground time in a BITD, an FNPT I or II, an FTD 2 or an FFS.

 

Applicants with a valid IR shall be given at least 15 hours dual visual flight instruction.

 

At least 5 hours of the flight instruction shall be carried out in an aeroplane certificated for the carriage of at least 4 persons and have a variable pitch propeller and retractable landing gear.

 

Course Programme:

-  Ground School Phase: Satisfied by having completed the ATPL (A) Theory

-  Flight Phase: The flights will be carried out at Paluknio Airport (VILNIUS).

 

Exams:

At Paluknys Airport, under the supervision of official examiners authorised by the Civil Aviation Authority, both theory and practical, or at the Official Sites on the dates specified by the Civil Aviation  Authority.

Upon completion of the flying training and relevant experience requirements the applicant shall take the CPL(A) skill test on either a single-engine or a multi-engine aeroplane.

 

* 200 hours flight time is required to issue the license.
